Excellent low pressure pump
I needed a reliable low pressure pump for a vintage car. The new alcohol additive in gasoline is causing many vapor lock problems in older, carburated cars. I run a restoration shop and have used Carter products for a long time now. Having tried all the other brands, Carter is my pump of choice. This pump is exceptionally quiet, as well as having very stable pressure. Many pumps will vary pressure widely with temperature changes. This one doesn't seem to do that. If you need a 4lb pressure fuel pump, buy this one from Amazon. I couldn't beat the price from any of my other suppliers. Avoid the cheaper pumps, you won't be happy with them. This one will run well for a long time.

fuel pump for old motorhome
Replaced a mechanical pump on a 1979 dodge 440 motor home. Installed where the old pump connections are. 1/2 hour install and never started and ran so good. Did not use a pressure regulator. VERY HAPPY !

fuel pump for cub cadet
Had installed a new fuel pump last winter from kubota for their 3 cylinder gas engine on an old cub cadet tractor which cost more than $180. It lasted less than 2 months of lite use before quitting. I purchased this Carter P60504 pump, which has a 1 year warranty and it has been working superbly since, at a cost from Amazon of under $60. I am very pleased with it, and since it is made by Carter, it has a good chance of working for a very long time. I would highly recommend it for any old engine that was designed for 3 PSI fuel pressure.

Not being fuelish
Honestly, I haven't installed this pump yet and I don't even need it. However, as an auto mechanic I know I will in time. It was a fantastic price for a quality pump. I didn't want to be in a bind and have to spend three times as much for a lesser quality pump. I also think that under our current regime it is wise to stockpile emergency supplies and common repair parts will be emergency supplies.

not orignal
warning this pump is not a original....its a universal...witch is meant to work on different kinds of cars/trucks/vans maybe?btw if you don't like autozone parts don't buy this as this is the same brand they carry.the pump it self works (tested by hooking up right to truck battery)the wires are to short (imo)if the pump was made so you can just unscrew the nuts and just replace the original pump (swapping out the wile harness) the wires would not even be required.had to use wire caps and splice in the the included wires and my sending unite wires to install this thing. hope this things lasts.

Delphi: the best
Here's the specs on this pump that can be hard to find:PSI: 5.7-8.7Flow rate (max): 30gal/hourVoltage: 12Fuel barbs: 3/8Bottom line these pumps are far and away better than the average, tolerant to higher and lower temps by as much as 20 degrees over other brands like Facet and Airtex. They are solidly constructed in the USA (another rarity). The kit that accompanies the pump includes a mounting bracket, with self tapping bolts, and star washers, 2 6" hose lengths of 3/8 fuel line, 2 hose clamps and electrical unions. The ground is pictured and the lead is about the same length which takes simply a union and a 10A fused lead.Lastly if you are looking for a small diesel engine pump (4.5 psi max) get the FD0003 . Amazon now has this pump I believe, it should look...

Easy to install, works great
The pump was easy to install on a 2000 monte carlo ss, and I'm no mechanic. It is very quiet and resorted a lot of lost power to my car, as well as fixing many other issues I thought were just part of the car. I would recommend it so far.
